Greetings Thunderbird Students and Families!
Summer vacation is already well underway; however, it is with great excitement
that I write this letter of introduction to you as the new Principal of Kastner
Intermediate. I am honored to have the opportunity to lead a school with such
persevering students, an extremely dedicated staff, and a supportive school
community. I feel very fortunate to be part of this school and to support our
Kastner students and families.
I have been in education for the past fifteen years and have loved every minute of it! My journey started out in the classroom as a teacher ranging from 2nd through 12th grade, intermediate and high school counselor, Guidance and Instructional Specialist or also known as Vice-Principal, and most recently the Deputy Principal at Clovis West High School. I am thrilled to bring my skills and experiences as an educational leader to Kastner Intermediate and to work with you as a partner in education to ensure your child’s success.
On a more personal note, my husband and I have lived in the Fresno/Clovis area most of our lives and now have two wonderful children who are also in the Clovis Unified School District educational system. Our oldest will begin her journey into high school this coming August while our son will begin his journey into second grade.
I believe education is a noble profession that can make a huge impact in a child’s life. Education also provides the opportunity for one to be a life-long learner and become a master of its craft through professional development, a growth mindset, and more importantly valuing the unique qualities of all individuals and what they bring to the table. I am excited to learn much about the uniqueness of Kastner this year and the years to come as well as unite my experience, openness to learn, and my student-centered approach to support all students. I believe relationships between families and the school are critical to the success of our students, and I encourage you to become involved in every way possible. I look forward to seeing all of you when we reopen the new school year soon!
Sincerely,
Mrs. May Moua
Principal
