Dear Thunderbird Students and Families!
Welcome to Kastner Intermediate, home of the Thunderbirds! I am honored to lead Kastner Intermediate School with such resilient students, an extremely dedicated staff, and a supportive school community. I feel very fortunate to be part of this school and to support our Kastner students and families. The Kastner staff and I work extremely hard to create a positive, safe, and supportive learning environment for our students. All Kastner staff members are passionate about supporting and educating the whole child in achieving success in Mind, Body, and Spirit.
A little about me. My husband and I have lived in the Fresno/Clovis area most of our lives and now have two wonderful children who are also in the Clovis Unified School District educational system. Our oldest will be a senior in high school this coming August while our son will begin his journey into fifth grade.
I have been in education for the past seventeen years and have loved every minute of it! My journey started out in the classroom as a teacher ranging from 2nd through 12th grade, intermediate and high school counselor, elementary Guidance and Instructional Specialist or also known as Vice-Principal, and Deputy Principal. I am thrilled to continue my journey with the Thunderbirds as Principal and hope to bring my skills and experiences as an educational leader to Kastner Intermediate and work with you as a partner in education to ensure your child’s success.
I believe education is a noble profession that can make a huge impact in a child’s life. Education also provides the opportunity for one to be a life-long learner and become a master of its craft through professional development, a growth mindset, and more importantly valuing the unique qualities of all individuals and what they bring to the table. I am excited to continue to learn the uniqueness of Kastner as well as unite my experience, openness to learn, and my student-centered approach to support all students. I believe relationships between families and the school are critical to the success of our students, and I encourage you to become involved in every way possible. I look forward to seeing all of you soon!
