How to check out books from our Library

Destiny Discover is the program we use at Kastner when you need to check out textbooks for class or recreational use.  Click on the icon above or HERE, to access Kastner Intermediate School Library.
Once you find what you are looking for, put your book on "hold" online and come to the Kastner library with your student I.D. card to pick it up. 
Please allow at least 24 hours after online submission to pick up books from the library. Students must pick up books between 7:00 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. Monday-Friday. 

Library hours: 7:00 a.m.- 4:00 p.m. For assistance please call 327-2615 and ask for Mrs. Stacey Bukilica.

Don't forget your student ID card.

Need to pay for a Lost or Damaged library book or textbook?  Use the online payment option below to do so.

Reading is one of the most important things our students should be doing.   Think about how much reading we ask our students to do during the school day…at home they are most likely getting less than half that reading time! Attached below is a chart with data showing how adding 10 minutes of reading per day increases student achievement.

Did you know students who read about 20 minutes per day (for fun) on average rank in the 90th percentile on state ELA exams and read about 1,800,000 million words per year? We MUST to encourage our students to read so they continue to be exposed to as many words in as many different contexts as possible.

Our CUSD eLibrary is now connected to the Fresno County Public Library, so students now have access to even more books. They just have to login with their CUSD username and password (or sign in through Clever).  Click on the link below; Fresno County Public Library.
